We perceive space as scenes.

Architectonic space is always perceived actively and with multiple senses: Its physical presence is activated through our bodily experience. Architectonic space is realised through explorative movements and is conceptualised according to the dispositions of the body. We perceive our surroundings as scenes between which our where-abouts therein change – like islands of experience that can be perceived as separate, connected or overlapping.
